When I think about vintage, I think about black and white, but also sepia colours. Images from the early 1900s are now fading away too. The older houses are from the same timeframe and I tried to capture that using sepia colours with darker areas on the outside while the middle of the image stays more untouched.
How this piece is made
After I transferred the image of the house and its composition to the gel plate, I used rollers to apply the paint with bolder strokes and different thicknesses of paint. I worked from the inside out, so the inside has a lighter colour compared to the darker edges. The black of the house is not constant, that also tells that the house itself is fading in time.
